My Profile from Lincoln City Radio:
Dave was born in Chesterfield, after trying very hard to avoid school for much of his early life he started an apprenticeship at the local gas compressor manufacturing company. However having spent many of his teenage years researching and learning about aircraft, the Royal Air Force beckoned.
After training as an aircraft propulsion mechanic his first posting was to RAF Binbrook and the iconic Lightning Aircraft. Whilst there Dave discovered a he had a liking for broadcasting and so was trained at the local on base radio station.
After leaving Binbrook Dave went to work in Germany where again he worked on the on base Radio Service at RAF Gutersloh and club Disco working alongside a number of acts that came out from the UK.
On his return to the UK Dave started and ran a folk club at RAF Coltishall in Norfolk where he worked with the likes of Fred Wedlock and Alex Campbell. After a brief hiatus due to work commitments Dave moved back to Lincolnshire where he has lived ever since and where he once again started and ran a Disco in the Vulcan Club at RAF Scampton before moving into live sports commentary and Master of Ceremonies duties for the local Moto-X clubs.
Dave interests include music, most forms of motorsport but has a passion for F1, world class motorcycle racing .
Dave now currently presents the Good Morning Lincoln each Saturday and sits on any of the Lincoln Morning shows when required
